NEW ORLEANS — Following their impressive 2021 seasons, Texas State's infielder Sara Vanderford and pitcher Jessica Mullins were selected to the 15-member 2022 Sun Belt Conference Preseason All-Conference Team, the league announced Thursday morning.
Additionally, Vanderford, after picking up the conference's freshman of the year award and first-team all-conference honors in 2021, was tabbed as the Sun Belt Conference's Preseason Player of the Year.
"What a great honor for both of these young ladies. We couldn't be prouder of them.," said Texas State softball head coach Ricci Woodard.
