When Everett Withers met with the media for the first time as Texas State's head football coach, he laid out his five core values: Honesty, treating women with respect, no drugs, no stealing and no weapons.
"When the core values in our program are not handled in a correct way, I deal with them as a head coach," he said back on Jan. 7. "They are really important."
On Tuesday, Withers sent a clear message: If you fail to live up to those rules, you're gone. The first year head man of the Bobcats dismissed wide receivers Justin Gamble, Demun Mercer and Brice Gunter for "breaking our team core values.
