SAN MARCOS, Texas — The start of the 2021 Texas State softball season is pushed back, again, as this weekend's Maverick Classic, hosted by UTA, has been cancelled due to current weather conditions in and around the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Texas State is now slated to open its season against nationally-ranked Mississippi State on Friday, Feb. 26 at 1 p.m. as part of the Lone Star State Invitational co-hosted by Texas and Baylor.
