SAN MARCOS, Texas – Goals from Bailey Peschel and Olivia Wright just over three minutes apart was the difference as the Texas State soccer team claimed a 2-1 victory on the road over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Thursday night.
With the win, the Bobcats improved to 3-0-0 for the second best start in program history while the Islanders dropped to 2-1-0.
TXST held an 18-6 shots advantage and placed nine of their attempts on frame. Wright paced all players with five shots and three shots on goal. Also with multiple shot attempts for the Bobcats was Zoe Junior (3) and Peschel (2).
