NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference announced on Monday the outdoor track and field individual awards with Texas State's being named Women's Most Outstanding Freshman. The awards were voted on by the league's head coaches.
She scored 14 points at the SBC Outdoor Championships and winning two silver medals. The Houston, Texas native ran a 23.696 to finish runner-up in the 400-meter dash by five thousandths of a second and ran the anchor leg to help the 4x400m relay cross the line in 3:42.86 for a second place finish. Hardy ended up fifth in the 200m dash with a time of 24.
