NEW ORLEANS — The Sun Belt Conference released its 2021-22 Women's Basketball Coaches Poll Wednesday morning with the Texas State Bobcats being placed at No. 4.
Troy, the reigning Sun Belt Conference tournament champion, opens the new season as the favorite with 11 first-place votes. Louisiana picked up the lone additional first-place vote en route to being picked second.
Three programs west of the Mississippi River follow the Ragin' Cajuns as UTA, Texas and Little Rock were selected third, fourth and fifth, respectively. After the Trojans, App State, Georgia State, South Alabama, Georgia Southern and Arkansas State round out the top 10.
