Texas State Uses Balanced Attack to Defeat Houston Baptist 90-80

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Freshman Alonzo Sule recorded his first double-double and five players scored in double figures as the Texas State men's basketball team used a balanced attack to defeat Houston Baptist 90-80 in Strahan Arena on Saturday afternoon.

Sule came off the bench to record career-highs of 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Bobcats. Four other Bobcats scored in double figures as Nijal Pearson netted 14 points, Alex Peacock scored 11, while Tre'Larenz Nottingham and Jaylen Shead added 10 points each.

HBU's Ian Dubose scored 31 points to lead the Huskies as he finished the game making 8-of-15 shots from the field, including 3-of-4 beyond the three-point line.
