NEW ORLEANS, La. – It was a room filled with optimism and excitement when Texas State head coach Jake Spavital, running back Brock Sturges, and defensive back DeJordan Mask met with reporters at the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Media Day.
"I think there's a lot of excitement about doing this in person," said Spavital. "It gives us an opportunity to talk about how great a conference we have and how great of a year we had."
After a one-year interruption because of COVID-19, the return of an in-person Media Day gathering was welcomed by all 10 head coaches and two players from each team.
