NEW ORLEANS – The Texas State men's basketball team was picked to finish eighth in the 2018-19 Sun Belt Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league announced Thursday morning.
The Bobcats received 67 points to nestle between No. 7 South Alabama (80) and No. 9 Arkansas State (42). Reigning Sun Belt Championship victor Georgia State received all 12 first-place votes and was projected to win the league with 144 points. Georgia Southern and defending regular-season champion Louisiana tied for second with 125 points. ULM and Troy were slotted in a tie for fourth on 89 points. Appalachian State was sixth with 86 points.
