SAN MARCOS, Texas – In a that featured three ties and three lead changes, Tara Oltmann drove in the winning run with a single to right field in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Texas State softball team beat I-35 rival UTSA, 4-3, in the first game of the 2020 Bobcat Classic Thursday night at Bobcat Softball Stadium.
Texas State jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning when Christiana McDowell reached on an error, stole second, and scored on Hailey MacKay's single to left-center.
