Texas State is 9-2 right now — its best start in program history — and head coach Ricci Woodard doesn’t even think the Bobcats have played their best softball yet.
Texas State has exhibited signs of a great ball club: Paige Williams’ no hitter last Friday afternoon in an 8-0 win over Mississippi Valley State and seven-inning comebacks against the likes of Abilene Christian and Belmont on back-to-back weekends to name a few.
“That’s what is kind of amazing to me, we’re 9-2 but we haven’t sustained good play throughout an entire weekend,” Woodard said.
