ALEXANDRIA, La. - The Texas State women's tennis team opened its 2019 spring schedule with a 7-0 shutout over LSU-Alexandria on Friday morning at the Alexandria City Courts.
The Bobcats began the match capturing the doubles point when Texas State won all three matches. Ana Perez and Joy Chia Ming Ming combined for a 6-1 victory over Miljana Melojevic and Niamh Packer on the No. 1 court. In the No. 3 match, Julia Navajo-Melendez teamed with Andrea Fuchs to defeat Maria Cool and Katheryne Campos by a score of 6-1.
