SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State senior wide receiver and return specialist Jeremiah Haydel has been named a Second-Team All-America selection as a punt returner by Phil Steele Tuesday afternoon.
Haydel's selection is the third All-America award that he received this season. ESPN named Haydel an All-America return specialist, and the Football Writers of America named him a Second-Team All-American punt returner.
Haydel ranked third nationally and led the Sun Belt Conference in combined kick return yards with 687 yards. He was one of only two NCAA Division I FBS players to return a kickoff and punt for a touchdown.
