SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Texas State's women's golf program shot a 306 in the first of three rounds of the Maryb Kauth Invitational, played at the par 72, 6,450-yard Briggs Ranch Golf Club.
Mississippi State leads the after an opening-round284 (-4). No. 23 Tennessee is second with a 285 (-3), while No. 9 Arkansas is third after posting an even-par 288. Texas State is 14th overall, trailing Old Dominion and LSU by a single stroke.
Senior Raksha Phadke and freshman Sasikarn Somboonsup co-lead the Bobcats after 18 holes with 4-over 76s, good for 45th (tied) on the individual leaderboard.
