With most of the incoming players on campus, Texas State is busy working toward 2017.
Following Saturday's skill camp inside Bobcat Stadium, the Bobcats took a big step in that regard as three-star quarterback Kishawn Kelley verbally committed to the program. The Corsicana High School dual-threat prospect attended last weekend's camp and informed Everett Withers of the good news later that evening.
Kelley is Texas State's sixth verbal commitment for the 2017 class, which also includes tight end Logan Peterson (Aledo), inside linebacker John Brannon (Prosper), nose guard Darren Thomas (Judson), safety Preston Dimery (Kerrville-Tivy) and cornerback Colby Peterson (Cedar Creek).
