MONTGOMERY, Texas – The Texas State men's golf team enters the third round in fourth place at the Huntsville Toyota Bearkat Classic after shooting 11-over-par in the first two rounds Monday.
The Bobcats shot two-over-par as a team in the second round to move up three spots in the team standings after beginning the day shooting nine-over-par on the Par-72 course at the Walden on Lake Conroe Golf Club. Texas State starts Tuesday's final round with a team total of 587 through 36 holes.
Freshman Kasper Nyland leads Texas State and is in a three-way tie for sixth place in the individual standings after shooting one-under-par with a 36-hole total of 143.
