Whatever switch was flipped in the 43 hours between its blowout loss to Louisiana-Monroe and its season-defining win over Louisiana-Lafayette, Texas State is a better team for it.
Ever since that embarrassing setback to the Warhawks, their second such loss in three games, the Bobcats have played with a certain belief and attitude that has led to six victories in the past eight games.
Texas State's latest feat was the most impressive of them all. Down by 13 at halftime and facing the prospect of being bounced from the Sun Belt Tournament in the first round, the Bobcats rallied all the way back despite missing sharpshooter Ethan Montalvo for most of the second half.
