SAN MARCOS, Texas — Following a two-day break on the heels of an eight-game-in-seven-day stretch for the Texas State softball team, the Bobcats return to action on Wednesday, March 3 with a doubleheader at Texas Tech.
The mid-week contests, which begin at 12 p.m., and the second game to follow 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first, is a make-up series after the two teams were supposed to open the season in San Marcos against each other on Feb. 13-14, but weather postponed the games.
"This trip to (Texas) Tech will be great experience for us as a team to find out if we can travel together and still figure out how to get off the bus and play our game," said Texas State softball head coach Ricci Woodard.
