Texas State bounces back with win at Baylor

WACO, Texas — Head coach Ricci Woodard and her Texas State softball team woke up their bats Wednesday night as the Bobcats were credited with a season-high 14 hits en route to earning a 7-5 victory at Baylor.

Texas State (26-6, 8-3) broke through in the run column first when freshman Piper Randolph recorded the first of her career-high three hits on the evening when she singled through the elft side with two outs in the top of the second inning to score Hailey MacKay. Two batters later, Kylie George made it 3-0, Bobcats, when she plated Baylee Lemons and Randolph with a two-out infield single in the inning.
