TAKASAKI CITY, Japan – The USA Women's National Team ran through the competition to capture gold for the third time during the summer season in the Japan Cup on Sunday morning. The Red, White, and Blue defeated host Japan by a score of 3-2 at Utsugi Stadium. Team USA previously took gold at the USA Softball International Cup and the Pan American Games.
"To end the summer on a high note shows the development of the team over the last couple months," Texas State associate head coach Cat Osterman said. "We have faced so much together and enjoyed every moment of it.
