NEW ORLEANS – Following a strong performance in her first career collegiate tournament, freshman was named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Week.
Tavelli-Westerlund shot a 3-under par 213 at the Texas State Invitational to finish sixth. The freshman carded a 71 in all three of the rounds. She paced the Texas State squad that finished fourth on the Plum Creek Golf Course.
The Swede is the first Bobcat golfer to take home the honor since in April 2017.
