SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State head coach Shane Howell announced Saturday that Fabien Sunden is joined the Bobcat men's golf team as a transfer after playing two-and-one-half seasons at Akron.
Sunden posted Akron's best average in the 2019 Fall campaign with 72. 75 in 12 rounds as a junior. He was named the Mid-America Conference (MAC) Player of the Week on Oct. 3 after becoming Akron's first player to win the Firestone Invitational with an 8-under par total of 208 through 54 holes. He had the best round of his collegiate career at the tournament, shooting a 6-under-par 66 in the second round.
