SAN MARCOS, Texas – For the second straight week, a Texas State soccer player took home a weekly conference honor. This time it was Mady Soumare being recognized as the Sun Belt Conference's Offensive Player of the Week.
The senior forward recorded her first multi-point match of the season with a goal and an assist in Saturday's 2-1 win over Georgia State. She has now recorded a goal or an assist in the last three matches, all of which have been Bobcat victories.
Soumare recorded the second assist on Helen Alormenu's match-tying goal in the 58th minute.
