SAN MARCOS, Texas – In the latest States Up podcast, Texas State football's Kyle Hergel dives into his path from Canada to Texas to play football but also the pride he has in being Canadian and being a role model for upcoming players from where he is from.
Hergel, who recently represented the Bobcats at the Sun Belt Conference Football Media Days in New Orleans, was named Preseason All-Sun Belt Second Team this summer after starting 12 games at right guard last year. It was his first season with the Bobcats, but he finished as one of the top-rated offensive linemen in the Sun Belt by Pro Football Focus (PFF).
