SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State softball team returns home this week after going 5-0 in its last non-conference tournament of the 2016 season. The Bobcats will play host to the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Bobcat Softball Stadium.
The Bobcats enter into Wednesday's contest with a 17-5 overall record, which matches the previous best through 22 games set during the 2004 season. This past weekend, Texas State earned victories over Purdue, IPFW, South Florida, Detroit, and Penn. So far this year, Texas State is 3-0 against Power 5 squads.
