SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State director of athletics Larry Teis announced Monday morning that the date for Texas State's home football game against SMU has been moved to August. 29, one week earlier than originally scheduled.
After the NCAA announced that all NCAA Division I teams could move up their games last week, the Sun Belt Conference and American Athletic Conference approved a waiver request from both schools to change the game date and allow them more schedule flexibility in addressing issues related to the COVID 19 pandemic. Texas State's second game of the season is scheduled against UTSA at Bobcat Stadium on Sept.
