SAN MARCOS, Texas – Unlike on Saturday where the wind was blowing out of Bobcat Ballpark, it flipped for Sunday's contest. This led to more small ball from Texas State (10-5) on its way to a 5-1 win over North Dakota State (1-14) and a sweep in the final non-conference series of the season.
"It was a completely different day with the wind blowing in. Had to go back to more small ball but to me it all started on the mound. Levi [Wells] coming back and threw the ball really, really well. He was ahead of hitters all day," said head coach .
