SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State Athletics Department announced that, Meagan King, Sofia Murcia-Rodriguez, Lauren Purdom, Hannah Solano, and John Brannon have received 2020 Leo John Seitz V Heart of a Champion Endowments.
King is a pitcher on Texas State's softball team who was named an All-Sun Belt Conference Second-Team pitcher in 2019 after posting an 18-11 record in 2019. She had a 5-2 mark in 2020 before the season was canceled because of the COVID-19 Pandemic. She was named to Texas State's Dean's List and received the Texas State Athletics Star of Excellence award after maintaining a 4.
