SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State's Dalton Shuffield was named to the ABCA/Rawlings Central All-Region Second Team on Wednesday. He was one of 10 players from the Sun Belt Conference selected to one of the two all-region teams.
The sophomore shortstop led the Bobcats with a .330 batting average, 72 hits and 10 stolen bases on the way to the Texas State's first-ever Sun Belt regular season title. He also scored 37 runs and drove in 26. His 12 doubles were tied for the third most on the team and finished tied for second with three triples.
