NEW ORLEANS – Junior middle blocker Tyeranee Scott earned the first Sun Belt Conference weekly award for the Texas State volleyball team this season announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Scott, a Houston native was named the Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Bobcats with 13 total blocks. She capped off the tournament with a career-high 15 kills and seven blocks in the sweep vs. Sam Houston State to conclude the tournament and finished second on the team with 3.00 kills per set. The Maroon and Gold claimed the Creeds & Crests Classic for the second consecutive year.
