LAREDO, Texas – In the second round of the rain shortened Border Olympics at the Laredo Country Club on Saturday, the Texas State men's golf team set a school record for lowest round (278) and vs. par (-10) to jump eight spots finish tied for eighth with an one-over par 577. The tournament was shortened to 36 holes after heavy rains on Friday morning postponed the start.
The previous low round was a 279 that occurred three times, twice happening last year at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate and the Price's Give Em Five Invite. The Price's Give Em Five Invite was also the previous best under-par round for the Bobcats previously at 9-under.
