Rutherford’s career-high 15 kills highlights Bobcats’ win over Little Rock

SAN MARCOS, Texas — The 15th-ranked Texas State University volleyball program continued its dominant showing in Sun Belt Conference action with a three-set sweep of Little Rock (25-19, 26-24, 25-14) on Friday morning.

With the win, Texas State (12-1, 7-0) has now won its last nine straight matches dating back to a three-set victory over Houston Baptist on Friday, Sept. 18. Additionally, the Bobcats have taken the last nine straight sets against their competition since trailing 2-0 at then-No. 15 Louisiana on Friday, Oct. 16.

Tied 7-7 in the first set, senior Kenedi Rutherford recorded the first of her career-high 15 kills to push Texas State ahead and give the Bobcats their third lead within the match's opening minutes.
