SAN MARCOS, Texas– Former Texas State University men's basketball student-athlete and National Champion Rudy Davalos will soon be inducted into the San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2019 Aug. 17 at the Alamo Convocation Center.
Davalos, a 1956 Edison High School graduate, is one of six former SAISD athletes who will be enshrined, including Rudy Bernal, Larry Collins, Adriane Lapsley Butler, Diz Reeves and Gilbert Salinas.
The 5-9 talent was a point guard for the Edison Golden Bears and was the team's leading scorer during his four-year tenure.
