SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State sophomore track and field athlete Lara Roberts will head to Tokyo to compete in the 2025 World Athletics Championships.
Roberts' historic 2025 campaign, which features a Sun Belt outdoor championship in hammer throw and the Sun Belt women's outdoor track and field elite award, is not yet over.
During the 2025 collegiate outdoor track and field season, Roberts competed in eight hammer throw events and placed in the top five in each one.
Out of the eight events, Roberts racked up one fourth-place finish, two third-place finishes, two second-place finishes and three first-place finishes, which included a Sun Belt outdoor championship.
