SAN MARCOS, Texas — Following a dominant freshman season in the pitching circle for the University of Southern Mississippi, Karsen Pierce has elected to continue her collegiate softball career at Texas State University, Bobcat head coach Ricci Woodard announced Friday morning.
"We can't wait to watch Karsen pitch in a Bobcat uniform," Woodard said. "We feel she will be a great compliment to an already very good pitching staff!"
Pierce, a 5-foot-8 right-handed pitcher from Daphne, Ala., posted a 4-4 record in 14 appearances, which included 10 starts, as a Golden Eagles throughout the 2021 season.
