NEW ORLEANS– Senior guard Nijal Pearson has been selected the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week announced Monday afternoon by the league office. It is Pearson's fifth career weekly honor and second this season (Dec. 16, 2019). In addition, he was also tabbed as the 3x3U National Championship Player of the Week.
Pearson averaged 25.0 points per game this week and shot 48.0 percent from the floor and 44.0 percent from 3-point range. He also added 4.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.3 steals per game in the 2-1 week. Pearson leads the Sun Belt Conference with a 19.
