SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State men's basketball all-time leading scorer Nijal Pearson has agreed to terms with Chorale Roanne located in Roanne, France, a member of the Pro A basketball league. Pro A is the top-tier men's professional basketball league in France.
Pearson will join a two-time French National Championship program that claimed the title in 1959 and 2007. They were also the Pro B champions in 2018-19 before being promoted back to the Pro A after a five-year absence.
"This is truly a blessing from God," said Pearson. "I am excited to start my professional basketball career and continue to grow as a person and a basketball player.
