SAN MARCOS, Texas – Wednesday night in Strahan Coliseum, fans witnessed a peacock show off his colors as junior forward Alex Peacock posted a near triple-double of 21 points, nine rebounds and nine assists in the Texas State men's basketball team's 66-53 victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
With the win, the Bobcats improve to 4-3 on the season while the Islanders lost their fifth straight to drop to 1-5.
TAMUCC opened up a 9-5 lead a little under four minutes into the game after a three-pointer by Joseph Kilgore. The final 16:02 of the opening half saw TXST clamp down defensively and hold the visitors to just six points while netting 28 themselves.
