SAN MARCOS, Texas – After earning her first individual championship at the Texas State Invitational and setting a new personal best 18-hole score and 54-hole total, Mattingly Palmer was named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Friday.
Mattingly Palmer won her first individual championship of her career with a comeback win in the final round of the Texas State Invitational after she carded a one-under 212. The sophomore never fell out of the top-three in the two-day tournament and claimed the top spot after recording a new low 18-hole score of 67.
