SAN MARCOS, TX — Three-time Olympic medalist and former Texas State softball assistant coach Cat Osterman will throw out the game's first pitch when Texas State meets Texas on the diamond of Bobcat Softball Stadium on Wednesday, March 23 at 6 p.m. CT.
Osterman will then head to the announcer's booth to join Brant Freeman and call the game's action on ESPN+. Osterman most recently joined Freeman on the broadcast when Texas State (14-12, 2-4) played Baylor on Wednesday, March 16.
Osterman, a Houston native, spent six seasons alongside Texas State softball head coach Ricci Woodard on the Bobcats' coaching staff prior to stepping down on May 11, 2020, to pursue future personal endeavors.
