An experienced coach and recruiter in the state of Texas, Mike O'Guin was named Texas State's defensive line coach on Wednesday as head coach G.J. Kinne continued to fill out his coaching staff for the 2023 season.
O'Guin arrives in San Marcos after coaching at Sam Houston in 2021 and 2022 and with previous coaching stops at Notre Dame, Texas Tech and North Shore High School in Houston.
"I am pleased to welcome Coach O'Guin to San Marcos and thrilled for him to be a Bobcat," said Kinne. "Mike is a relentless recruiter and tremendous teacher, which stems from his background as a Texas high school football coach.
