SAN MARCOS, Texas – With no conference games this weekend, the Texas State softball team will travel to Houston Wednesday to face off against Houston Baptist starting at 3 p.m. at Husky Field. The Bobcats come into the contest with a 23-15 overall record and 19-7 mark in non-conference play.
This is the second meeting between the two teams this season. In the last meeting between the two teams at the Louisiana Tech Spring Tournament, Texas State was victorious after five innings courtesy of a 10-0 run rule.
The Texas State offense is led by senior Kelli Baker, who has recorded a team-leading 39 hits and three triples.
