SAN MARCOS, Texas – Three Texas State Athletics teams have been recognized publicly by the NCAA for their outstanding performance in the classroom during the past four years.
Based on their most recent multiyear Academic Progress Rate (APR), Texas State's women's cross country, golf and tennis teams have posted scores in the top 10 percent of their sports.
This marks the eighth consecutive year that the Texas State women's tennis team has earned a Public Recognition award and the fourth straight season that the women's golf team has earned the honor. It marks the first time that the women's cross country has been recognized and the first time in school history that Texas State had three teams earn the honor in the same year.
