DALLAS – Coming off a historic freshman campaign in 2023, Texas State's Chase Mora was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Preseason All-America Second Team on Tuesday at second base. He is one of six players from the Sun Belt Conference on one of the three teams.
Mora led the Bobcats with 17 home runs to set a new freshman record and tie for the fourth most in a season in program history. The Tomball, Texas native batted .316 and tied for the team lead with 62 base knocks, of which he totaled 13 doubles and one triple to post a team-high .
