Men’s Golf Tied for Fourth Place After the First Round in Mobile

SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State men's golf team is in fourth place through the first round at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate on Monday morning. The Bobcats opened the tournament shooting a 9-under par score of 279 on the par 72, 7,212-yard Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course.

Texas State is one shot back of Florida State and Illinois, who are tied for second place at 10-under par. The first-round leader is UAB, who finished with a 12-under par score of 276.

Texas State is one shot ahead of Louisville, who finished the first round with a score of 280 and has the top score among Sun Belt Conference teams.
