Men’s Golf in Top-5 after First Day of National Golf Invitational

MARICOPA, Ariz. – Texas State men's golf finished the first round of the inaugural National Golf Invitational (NGI) tied for fourth on Friday at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club. Marcelo Garza and Tom Roed Karlsen lead the Bobcats.

Texas State is tied for fourth in the field of 13 teams after shooting three-under 285. This is the Bobcat's second-best opening round of a tournament, and third 18-hole total of 285 in a first round and of the season.

Wyoming sits in first after ending the first day eight-under 280.
