Men’s Cross Country Moves Up to 7th in South Central Rankings

NEW ORLEANS – In the second cross country regional rankings released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the Texas State men's cross country team moved up one spot to seventh.

The Bobcats opened the season with a second place finish at the Baylor Twilight Invitational and followed up by taking home the Justin Cooper Invitational title. Junior Jose Angel Gonzalez has been the top finisher at both meets for the team, claiming sixth place the opening meet and finishing fourth in Houston, Texas.

In this week's rankings, Texas State is one of three Sun Belt Conference schools and are joined by UT Arlington and UL Lafayette.
