TROY, Ala. – Saturday morning on the campus of Troy University, the Texas State men's cross country team claimed third at the Sun Belt Conference Championships, the best finish in program history since joining the conference. Leading the way was Jose Angel Gonzalez, Joseph Meade and Joseph Pena with top 10 finishes to earn All-SBC Second Team honors.
"Of course we wanted more but for both programs its progress," said Director of Track and Field/Cross Country Jody Stewart.
Meade paced the Bobcats with an eighth-place finish with a time of 25:06.
