ATLANTA, Ga. — Depending of who you ask, it was either really good defense or really bad offense that sealed Texas State's fate on Thursday night.
One fact isn't up for debate: The Bobcats' prolonged scoring drought during the second half clearly turned the tide in favor of Georgia State.
The end result? Texas State suffered a demoralizing 59-56 loss to the Panthers inside the GSU Sports Arena.
After jumping on Georgia State out of the halftime break and pulling ahead 45-38 once Ethan Montalvo's 3-pointer twirled through the net, the Bobcats (9-10, 3-7 Sun Belt) didn't make a dent on the scoreboard for nearly eight minutes.
