MOBILE, Ala. — Texas State couldn't wait for the moment when Ethan Montalvo returned to the starting five.
The Bobcats got their wish on Thursday night at South Alabama.
While it took almost the entire first half before the senior guard found his shooting groove, his 3-pointer in the waning seconds before halftime may have been the biggest one of the night.
After watching a 13-point advantage slip through his team's fingers, Montalvo splashed down a long-distance shot with four seconds remaining in the first half, and Texas State stayed hot from the field during the remainder of Thursday's proceedings en route to a 78-67 victory over the Jaguars inside the Mitchell Center.
